Client: Roxy Snow
Updates for the Roxy 2012/2013 website included taglines for products, banners and blog posts; a blog post introducing the Wanderlust video series, and updating the bios for the Roxy Snow team.
Challenge: New taglines were needed to introduce the new 2012/2013 snow line, specific products, blog posts, and photo albums. I was challenged with introducing the concept of a new winter season featuring new products, new adventures, and a new season of videos.
Solution: I wrote taglines such as “Brave New Winter” and “New Takes on Roxy Snow” to evoke the feeling of change, embracing adventure, and the excitement of anticipation for a new snowboarding season.
Challenge: The Wanderlust series is a collaborative video project between Roxy and Peep Show Films. I was asked to write a post to introduce the Wanderlust trailer and create interest in the upcoming film series.
Solution: Through emphasis of Peep Show’s impact on the women’s snowboarding and exploration of June and Esthera’s personal style and backgrounds, I highlighted the ways that the Peep Show girls embody both the core snowboarder and the Roxy girl who appreciates style and having fun with girlfriends.
Challenge: The Roxy team bios needed to be updated with current information for the 2012/2013 season. Upon review, I saw that the bios were inconsistent in length and style, some brief and some over four paragraphs long. I proposed updating and reformatting the team bios to create a bio section that would appeal to readers on a more personal level.
Solution: I edited each rider’s bio to one paragraph, unifying the focus, style, and theme for each member of the team. I also developed a twenty questions section for each rider to fill out. This allowed the snow team to show off their unique abilities and personalities, and appeal to readers more personally.
